Starostwo Powiatowe w Wodzisławiu Śląskim

The towns of the administrative district of Wodzisław have, for many years, been co-operating with the self-governments of North Rhein-Westphalia, so it was only natural that the administrative district of Wodzisław began co-operating with the administrative district of Recklinghausen in Germany.

The partnership agreement between the administrative district of Wodzisław in Poland and the administrative district of Recklinghausen in Germany was signed on July 2nd 2001. The agreement entails, among other things, that: both sides will exchange information on economic matters, they will provide opportunities for extra-governmental organizations, schools, hospitals, social welfare centers, etc., which might be interested in co-operating.

One of the outcomes of this co-operation, has been, amongst other things, receiving an ambulance from the administrative district of Recklinghausen in order to fulfill the needs of the medical rescue teams within the administrative district of Wodzisław.
